Candidate for Governor Aaron Lieberman Responds To The Conclusion of The Cyber Ninjas Audit

Statement from Aaron Lieberman

"The audit was a sham from the beginning. It was funded by nefarious actors with a political axe to grind.

"Cyber Ninjas is an illegitimate audit firm, hired by the Republican leadership of the Arizona State Senate that has bowed to extremism and abandoned reason. After months of smoke and mirrors, lawsuits, and degradation of public trust, the audit's “hand count” totals of paper ballots was hardly different from Maricopa County’s official numbers. Bottom line: In both counts, Biden wins. Nevertheless, their report is laced with mistruths and inaccuracies that will further muddy the waters in order to sow doubt in the minds of Arizonans.

"While some of Arizona's lawmakers may not like the outcome of the election, the fact is it's over. The election was free, fair, and was executed with integrity. There was no significant voter fraud and President Biden was the clear winner. In fact, Republicans of conscience have repeatedly reached that very conclusion.

"Challenging the outcome of elections without real evidence must not become our new normal. The American experiment has thrived since our founding because of the sacred process of peaceful transfers of power. In a representative democracy, not every side gets the leader they desire. But we move on and put the country before our party, hoping that those we have elected will do the same. We must not allow conspiracy theories to fuel dangerous upheavals to our elections.

"We need to get back to elections being a spirited contest of ideas, where voters choose their elected officials, not the other way round.  That’s the American way. Every leader in Arizona, and every candidate for elected office, must be clear about where they stand.  Are they committed to working to revive the common faith in our electoral process and reignite our shared trust in American democracy? I am, and I will, as your next Governor.”
